
Just when hope gather pace that the Detroit's Big Three might get a bailout (thanks to the latest high employment readings), it came to a crashing stop when the United Auto Workers reject swift wage cuts.
They are facing the prospect of going jobless and yet still so ya-ya negotiate this and that. So unlike Singapore. When there is a pay or CPF cut, they just cut without any resistance. We just go back to our cubicle to cry and complain over the internet :'(
Coming back to these unions, by doing this, they will only hurt the company more. Don't they know that by accepting the pay cuts, they are not only helping the company but themselves as well?
